Welcome! Spear Collective is our artist management collective, and we're proud of it. We believe it's comprised of some of the most promising, progressive, and definitive talent in the art and design world today. Our aim is to curate art and design in a more sustainable and honest way within brands - not just as advertising, but as true reflections of what a brands mean through our artist's eyes. If you're interested in chatting with us about potential opportunities for shows, artist-series products, or if you see something that catches your eye and would like to talk about working with any of these talented creatives, please feel free to contact us today!

Our good friend Motomichi is gearing up to introduce his very first toy ever– a collaboration he did with toy connoisseur and producer Android8. As many of you know, Motomichi’s characters are all two dimensional, so his challenge was to figure out a way to keep the same feel of the characters in a three dimensional environment– I think he did a solid job on these Chaz and Daz figures. They will be available at the Android8 booth at Comicon NYC from Feb 23-25th, if you do make it by tell Glen at Android8 I sent you!

The guys at I-Manifest are at it again– this time they’ve collaborated with the Dub War Crew in NYC to make this super-limited-edition shirt to commemorate the coming together of Dub War and DMZ this Saturday, Feb. 24 at Club Tonic in NYC. As some of you may know, Dub War is the first Dub Step event to hit North America (it’s originally from South London). They’re only printing 100 individually-numbered t-shirts, and these are going to get snatched up like a life-preserver in a flood (get em here). This run of I-Manifest shirts represents the arrival to the U.S. of a new form of music– in other words, it stands for something big.
Our buddy Royal Remarkable has been a busy man lately. Since you avid joshspear.com readers have grown to know and love RR and his formidable design talent through the site, I thought I would give you a quick update. Recently, he has been included in two new publications; one is the Nothing Lasts Forever Vol. 1 to 8 Compendium by the Musa Collective in Portugal. The other is the annual art book Rosebud #6 based in Austria–which you can purchase online. Both publications bring together a vast range of design and art talent, and are not to be missed!

Our friend Matt Curry (Ninja Cruise) has a serious knack for design– most of you already know that. He’s been a busy guy lately. First off, you should know that, starting February 17th, he will be showing his work at the Limited Addiction show in Denver right alongside Jason Thielke and others. Secondly, he will be jetting to L.A. this week to attend the GRAMMYS– he has been nominated for ‘Best Recording Package’ alongside Neal Ashby for their collaborative work on Thievery Corporation’s The Art of Versions (which is a must see and will be featured this month on Apple’s Pro page ). Finally, I’ll just throw in that he designed an awesome line of skateboards for Enjin, which you can see after the jump. Wheeeeeww! Busy guy. Congrats Matt– keep it up!

Our friend Christopher Cox (the genius behind ChangeTheThought) has a solo exhibition tomorrow in Denver at The 400. He’s calling the show “Pop It Like It’s Hot”– since a lot of his work is influenced by street culture and is essentially pop art. He’s got a ton of new work framed and ready to take home– he’ll also be unveiling 3 new t-shirts and hoodie designs at the show. Music, free food, free drinks, and free love. Drop by if you’re in the Denver area, full invite after the jump.

One of my favorite Japanese designers (although now Brooklyn Dwelling), Motomichi, has a couple of gorgeous new prints for sale for the holiday season. He actually introduced these prints back at the Pictoplasma Conference in October, but hasn’t put them up on his site for sale until now. These pieces entitled Dream Texture are signed, hand silk screened, $75 a pop, limited editions of 50, and almost to good to pass up!
New guys and gals Limited Edition T’s, designed by our amigo and design-savvy ‘Royal Remarkable‘ (Josh Gajownik), have just been released on Monsieur T. The new design, ‘Don’t Stop,’ reflects Josh’s unique, fresh, and jet-set style, and with free shipping offered throughout the U.S. and Canada, it’s looking like these T’s are shaping up to be a perfect holiday gift. Don’t hesitate though– they only printed 48 mens and 36 ladies for this super-limited-edition run. Hurry hurry rapido!

This shirt is solid holiday-time update from the guys at I-Manifest. They call the design ‘Cupid‘, and it’s the first of hopefully many collaboration t-shirts with the one and only Nessim Higson, whose portfolio “I Am Always Hungry” we covered a few times before. It’s done in a one-of-a-kind blue glow in the dark ink and is reversible– that’s like a 2 for 1 deal, right?
