CEO Desiree Perez Announces The Addition Of Faculty Members And A New Program To The Roc Nation School Of Music, Sports, And Entertainment

CEO of Roc Nation, Desiree Perez, has officially announced the addition of new courses and teachers to the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, & Entertainment. The school will officially open this fall at Long Island University and provide majors in music, sports management, and the like. Perez has also made the announcement that the school will offer full scholarships to 25% of the freshman class. The CEO wants the school to combine a blending of social justice, education, and opportunity. Desiree Perez also states the school will hold a summer camp for children aged from 10-18 that focuses on music and sports management.

Its purpose is to spot and develop local talent, something the music school at Long Island University will also look to accomplish. A notable winning advertising agency in Wieden + Kennedy will partner with the school to offer a concentration in creation promotion in media. The program will teach students about advertising and marketing through cultural perspectives. The advertising agency is well-known for some of its campaigns with Nike, Delta Air Lines, Ford, Samsung, and their extensive work with many more businesses.

The school also added new faculty like producer 9th Wonder, Colin Levin, and Sam Newsome into the mix. The Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, & Entertainment wants to teach its students how to find their own voice and find solutions to business problems. Desiree Perez has come a long way from working as a part-time nightclub manager with the creation of a new school and being the new CEO of Roc Nation. Perez and Jay-Z go way back to founding the music label and working together on many business ventures. Today, she is regarded as one of the most influential women in the entertainment industry.
